Creating a new post
There are three steps in creating a new post:
Step 1: Choose where to post on social media.
- On Facebook: you can post on your personal wall or on your company page/s.
- On Twitter: you can post on your twitter account, which can be your personal profile or your company profile/s.
- On LinkedIn: you can only post on your personal profile. (Posting on your LinkedIn company page or on groups will be available in the future).
- Note: To be able to post on social media you need to connect your social media accounts with MailUp. For example, Twitter will ask you to authorize the MailUp app:
To add your social media accounts go to Settings > List settings > Social Media Accounts. For more info, view this page.
Step 2: Write the message content
Based on step 1, one or more tabs will be shown. If you have selected all three social media channels three tabs will show:
Each tab has its own key features tailored to each social media channel. After working on a tab you can continue to another one without having to click on Save. Once you are done on the tabs you have chosen, continue and click on Next to send/schedule the post/s.

The Content section allows you to write a tweet (max 140 characters). You can also include URL links.*
LinkedIn Tab (within MailUp)
The LinkedIn tab allows you to create a LinkedIn status update. This update will be posted on your LinkedIn profile. Based on your LinkedIn settings, your status update is either viewable to everyone or only to your connections.
|Subject||Title of your LinkedIn status update.|
|External link||The URL link that you want to share. Only a shortened link* will show.|
Include a URL link of an image from the web. (optional but recommended).
If no image link is included LinkedIn will retrieve an image from the external link you provided.
Step 3: Send or schedule your post/s
Choose to send the post instantly (i.e. within 5 min) or choose to schedule a date and time.
