If your skills include a good knowledge of PHP, HTML, jQuery, Javascript and CSS programming you can take Blogger gadget code and customize it for your needs (e.g. if you want to add a specific style to the gadget) and publish on your own website. 

MailUp shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages or costs of any type arising out of your gadget customizations.

In addition, MailUp cannot provide support for customizing original gadget and debugging changes, please refer to Blogger online documentation if you need help.

Where to get gadget source code

Code is composed of two files (index.php and host.php) and it can be downloaded from GitHub and at least the following URL change has to be applied:

Please note that interaction between Blogger gadget and MailUp is based on XmlSubscribe HTTP API, please refer to this method to get available settings that can be applied to MailUp subscription.

MailUp encourages confirmed opt-in subscriptions, hence we recommend that you keep, and enable by default, the confirmation request email.

How to publish your custom version

To publish your custom version of Blogger gadget you also need

  • a Linux based server with PHP 5 that hosts your custom version of index.php and host.php. CURL has to be enabled and php5-curl library has to be installed
  • a public hostname to be specified when adding gadget (instead of
