Do I have to be a MailUp customer to use it?

You must have activated a MailUp console (a regular one or a 30 days trial) and then specify console URL in plugin settings. On MailUp you must disable restrictions on IP address requests coming from the server that hosts your WordPress site (go to "Manage->Web service" and then select "frontend" in the dropdown menu to insert IP address of your server. More than one address could be registered).

How can I configure my plugin?

Please follow provided instructions for gadget setup and configuration, then the owner of the blog page can modify configuration by means of the following button in the bottom right corner of frontend form.

How can I check if my plugin is working?

Just fill in required fields and press "Submit" button to subscribe. Specified contact will be added in the MailUp distribution list specified in system settings

How often do I have to change configuration?

In most of cases configuration is set once and no more changes are required.

How can I change the plugin appearance?

You can set background color for frontend form and for input fields by specifying color code. Due to Blogger restrictions other changes are not simple, but if you are an expert developer you can modify the gadget code (see the page reserved for advanced users)

Can subscribers use a one-click sign-up from their social accounts, such as Facebook?

Yes, but not with this gadget. MailUp provides a simple integration with all the most used social networks: you could insert into your web site a simple banner "Click here to subscribe to our newsletter using your Facebook account". This features is a standard one and you don't need to install any plugin, just activate a MailUp account.

Is it possible to translate this plugin?

Yes, just edit each string within the settings panel. No need to edit any file. MailUp supports all the charsets.

Why should I use this plugin and not other services, like feedburner?

MailUp allows you to take control of subscribers (view, import, edit, delete, export) and of messages (define scheduling, content and recipients).

Can I disable the plugin?

Yes, just delete reference to console host.

The configuration seems to be correct, but the plugin always returns a "generic error" message.

Please ensure that you have disabled the "IP address check enabled" option (see setup page)

The gadget returns the following message "URL error, please check MailUp console host address."

It means that the configured host name is not in correct format (e.g. and are correct formats, while and is wrong)
