The contact Update your contact person(s) listed here will be taken as a reference for the areas indicated (e.g. administrative, technical), so make sure that contact details are always up to date. Use the "Actions" button to remove a contact person or to update his contact information. When clicking Actions > Edit contact, you also have the chance to add this person to the test group to receive test mailings.

You can have different contacts listed for different purposes. 

  • Technical contact: maintenance alerts, other technical issues
  • Sales: sales-related matters
  • Administrative: billing issues 
  • Abuse: legal matters (e.g. account appears to be in violation of the MailUp terms of use), notifications of SPAM compliants that are filed directly with the MailUp Abuse Desk. Make sure that this is an address (e.g. abuse@... or customerService@...) that you are comfortable sharing with recipients.

For example, here is how this area is setup for our own MailUp account.

To update your contacts you can select the drop-down menu next to your platform id and then select "My contacts", as shown in the image below:

Admin

He/She receives notifications about terms and conditions updates and platform administration.

Campaign manager

He/She receives messages about new features or services, usage recommendations, training opportunities (such as webinars and workshops) and events.

Technical

He/She receives notifications about technical updates, such as maintenance activities.

Privacy

He/She receives updates regarding possible data breaches and can be communicated to third parties in case of privacy and spam-related issues.


Note

The email address of the "Abuse & Privacy" contact person will be shown to people that file a SPAM complaint to the MailUp Abuse Desk.
