After uploading your file on the import page you are taken to the second stage of the import process. to the Advanced dropdown and select from the various options.

  1. 1) Check the box if you want empty fields to override any existing recipient data in the system. If this box is not checked, all existing data in the imported fields will be erased!
  2. 2) The field separator is the text (comma, semi-colon, etc.) that separates the fields when translating from chart form to text. For excel, this automatically translates. For CSV files, however, you need to choose the correct field separator. To find your field separator, open your csv file into a text editor like Notepad or Wordpad.
  3. 3) If you are using a CSV file, choose the field separator. (For more details, see CSV File import above.)
  4. Choose the mobile number format correctly.
  5. 4) Select "Replace Current Group Assignments" when exporting existing recipients from MailUp and re-importing them. All previous group assignments will be erased and replaced with new groups assigned in the import process.
  6.  Choose Choose the subscription preference. (Remember, all imports default to the "Subscribed" status.)
